This is extremely informative!
This is an ARC review, and all opinions are my own.
I am a neurodiverse parent of 3 neurodiverse children. I have read lots of books, studied the subject of neurodiversity in college, and have been through countless evaluations and meetings about my children. This book was so thorough and well thought out. You receive information about different diagnoses, medications, tips, tricks and other useful information.
The ARC copy even included a workbook with tons of tips, journaling prompts and other gems that helped me explore new directions I can take with my children. This was so informative and I highly recommend it.

The practical examples
This book is excellent; the author documents her sources with great precision, allowing readers to delve deeper into any of the fields of study she references.
The term “expert” has come to define someone who limits their study to a very narrow area and tremendously restricted perspective. This is akin to seeking knowledge from a standpoint completely detached from reality.
However, the research and ideas that make up this magnificent book steer entirely clear of these pitfalls.

Thorough, clear, and genuinely useful
This is one of the most thorough and well-researched books I’ve come across on the subject. Dr. Perez Visus clearly has a deep understanding of how children’s learning, behaviour, and emotional wellbeing are all connected, and she explains it in a way that is easy to follow without ever feeling dumbed down.
What sets it apart is how practical it is. It doesn’t just explain what’s going on, it gives you concrete tools and strategies you can actually use. The three-part framework is logical and easy to apply, and the range of evidence-based approaches covered is impressive.
Highly recommend it to anyone working with or supporting children!
